During the weekend we will explore patterns on which human motion is based. What fascinates me about these patterns is that they can be transformed: enhanced, reduced, accelerated, decelerated, expanded, compressed, brought into rhythm… but basically they resemble each other. We can adapt them to outer and inner circumstances and gain a more and more differentiated range of physical expression. Among others we will look into spiralling, sequential and contralateral movement patterns.
We will meet those patterns in phases of solo exploration and -improvisation, as well as in small movement sequences and partner exercises inspired by Contact Improvisation.
Each weekend format has a specific anatomica focus. Check for updates.
The workshop is open to everybody interested in human motion, no matter of which age, background or condition. It is my wish and concern to offer anybody hints and inspiration for fulfilled embodiment. For persons who are mainly interested in solo dance and less in Contact Improvisation, there will be the opportunity to concentrate on this! Lets happily coexist in motion!
This work is mainly inspired by my studytime with Kira Kirsch and Antoine Ragot during the last 3 years and my continuing education in Kinaesthetics .
